Alicia Keys, the host of the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball event, which took place in Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, also took on the role as a performer. With assistance from Pharrell, the two performed two of the summer’s biggest hits: Robin Thicke‘s “Blurred Lines” and Daft Punk‘s “Get Lucky.” It’s safe to say the event went well, as they were able to raise roughly $4 million to contribute to children and families dealing with AIDS in various parts of Africa.
